At Camp Wag our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the dog's background and your family's needs. Every dog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right Rescue Type with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a dog into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once your application review is complete, a Camp Wag volunteer will contact you to schedule a home readiness assessment and discuss all-things pet. During the home readiness assessment, we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered.
Once approved to adopt, the search for your dog begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing dogs in our care that you are specifically interested in.
We will not discuss adoption details regarding any particular dog if you have not yet applied to adopt.
